Short-term memory only here. For those who are bored with my longer pieces or wonder if I can do anything but whine about the news. Actually, this is the same ol' whining, but in a different form.

• CDC says that being obese is not as deadly as was portrayed! Read the article from the Houston Chronicle, the hometown paper of "America's fattest city!" (Take that, Milwaukee!)
• Read this story of woe, angered undergrads and painful skin rashes from the Harvard Crimson. Serves you right. Can't you drink in the woods like normal college students (that's what they do, right?)
• Check out the Republic of Texas. Yes, these people are for real.
